Alright, so Montclair, NJ. It's an art town for sure - but definitely not street art. The night event was held at The Diva Lounge. Shit.
Upon entry, there were tons of Sparks advertisements. Where the fuck were the artists? We stood around for a few minutes and it turns out they were painting in the hallways of the VIP area and nobody was allowed in. A big beefy bouncer was not allowing anyone in. Seriously!?! After my girlfriend complained, we were allowed in to watch.
The space was so fucking tiny - Saber painting to the left and Choe on the right and Retna another wall down. Where do I stand? Well, right over Choe's shoulder to get a peak of his solo piece. I had to take the picture at a side angle to get the whole piece.

So the day event was a Division East. Incredible mural by Retna, Choe and Saber. Photos are up on their blog. I was in town just a few days later, and they already put up three 2 X 4's horizontally through the entire mural. A damn shame.
I was told 30 heads or so were denied. Why did you leave?? You missed a really great and up close experience. There was no ego on this night and we were standing on their dicks!
